St. John’s Diocesan Girls’ Higher Secondary School celebrated its Patronal Day on Monday, 24th of June to honor and commemorate the day to John the Baptist, the Patron Saint of the school. The event was marked with a Thanksgiving service held at St. Paul’s Cathedral for the completion of the Quasquicentennial year. The occasion was presided over by His Grace, the Rt. Revd Paritosh Canning, Bishop of Calcutta and President of the School Managing Committee, who also delivered the message. It was well attended by the members of the School Managing Committee, Principals of various schools and colleges, priests, parents, staff and students. The highlight of the service were the songs that the girls sang beautifully which added to the solemnity of the occasion and the inspiring message of the Bishop of Calcutta.
